Inexact Info

Because you just might need to know this stuff someday

Well, Mom's stuff is all sold, and she's moved to her new home in Connecticut. There's nothing interesting for me to put here for sale right now, but now that everything has calmed down some, I'll be able to get back to selling (hopefully) some of the cool stuff that I have been making.

I always mean to blog a project when I finish it, but I'm obviously a little behind on that.  Here's three pretty simple ones that I did over the last few weeks:  a bag, a dress (which probably should have been a shirt) and some boxers.

Since making my Halloween costume last October, I had really been jonsing for another sewing project.  With Danny's birthday party on the horizon and no idea what to get him for a gift, I decided to make his present my January sewing project.  In Final Fantasy 11, which he and I both play, there are different nations which a player can be allied to.  When you complete all the missions for a nation, you recieve "rank 10", a big sum of money, and a flag to hang on the wall in your character's house.  Here is the process of making a real life version of the flag you receive in the game.

Success at Facebook Integration PDF Print E-mail

Well, it took a few tries, but we finally have success at integrating the Joomla site to automatically post to my Facebook profile.  I'm sure this will get implemented for Lisa's site, so just for my own future referrence, I'm going to have to remember that the working plugin is at http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-web/social-channels-publish/10776.  Also, it will only work with PHP version 5, and Inexact was running on an older version, so I had to adjust that first.  Another issue, which wasn't covered in the documentation, was that the facebook connect api had to be referenced in the root of the site...that's done with the xd_receiver.htm file that you can download from facebook.  I also had some problems with the facebook permissions, but I think that was their problem, not mine.  All I did to fix that was create new api keys until I got the permissions to work.
